With What does it take to turn a lifelong passion for baseball into a business that creates unforgettable experiences for players, fans, and families?

On this episode of The S.L.I.D.E. Podcast, Coach Aaron Pridmore welcomes Frank Giglio, Founder and CEO of Going Yard Baseball, for an inspiring conversation about youth baseball, hard work, entrepreneurship, and making history at the iconic Field of Dreams Movie Site in Dyersville, Iowa.

Joining the conversation are S.L.I.D.E. Field Reporters Party Boy Jase and Mic Check Mariah, bringing their own experiences as young athletes and asking questions every aspiring baseball and softball player can learn from.

From Division I Baseball to Building Going Yard

Frank’s baseball journey began long before Going Yard Baseball.

A former Division I baseball player at St. John’s University, Frank went on to become a professional sports agent representing athletes in baseball and golf before building a successful career as an attorney.

But his passion for baseball never faded.

Alongside longtime friend and co-founder Bill Grazer, Frank created Going Yard Baseball with one mission: to deliver unique baseball experiences, unforgettable moments, and opportunities that bring athletes and fans closer to the game they love.

Making History at the Field of Dreams

One of the biggest highlights of the conversation is the historic Glow Event at the Field of Dreams Movie Site, where Going Yard Baseball joined forces with GlowBall Nation, Stinger Sports, and other event partners to create an unforgettable baseball experience.

Frank takes listeners behind the scenes of the event, including:

The event brought together talented athletes, creators, and baseball fans in one of the sport’s most recognizable locations.

Baseball Advice Every Young Athlete Needs to Hear

Beyond creating incredible baseball events, Frank shares lessons from his playing career that every young athlete should hear.

From earning a Division I roster spot through determination and hard work to learning how to handle failure at the plate, Frank emphasizes that success doesn’t always belong to the most naturally talented player.

Work ethic, consistency, adaptability, and self-belief can make all the difference.

When Party Boy Jase asks for advice about finding the right batting stance, Frank explains why young hitters must be willing to experiment, make adjustments, listen to coaches, and ultimately discover what works best for their own swing.

The conversation also explores why failure is such an important part of baseball and why even professional athletes never stop learning.

What’s Next for Going Yard Baseball?

Frank shares his vision for the future of Going Yard Baseball, including more unique baseball experiences, celebrity home run derbies, and events at iconic stadiums across the country.

The crew also discusses ideas for future Field of Dreams events, including nighttime glow wiffle ball games and additional opportunities for fans to get involved.

And of course, no episode of The S.L.I.D.E. Podcast would be complete without the ultimate question:

Bottom of the ninth, two outs, bases loaded. What’s your walk-up song?

Frank’s answer might surprise you!
